How we calculate prices
We would rather show no price than show a misleading one.

Technical detail▾
We show the median. Half of people paid less and half paid more. One very high or very low invoice cannot drag it around the way an average can.
The typical range is the middle half of prices (25th to 75th percentile). Low and high are the 10th and 90th percentiles.
Only verified records count. Invoices are checked before they are used. Advertised prices and unverified submissions are never part of the headline number.
Recent and local first. We use the last 12 months in your city. If there is not enough data we widen to 24 months, then to your region, then your province, and we always tell you when we do.
Your invoice stays private. We never publish names, addresses or the document itself. Only anonymized totals feed the statistics.
Confidence levels
| 10 to 49 records | Limited Data |
| 50 to 199 records | Moderate Confidence |
| 200 or more | High Confidence |
